Setting*Then Bunkhouse - The begining of this chapter describes in detail as a rectangular room, whitewashed, with small windows, and eight bunks - Beside the bunks are apple boxes for the mens' belongings - There is a card table in the center - We are introduced, not by name, to everyone in the bunk house
The Arival of George and Lennie- They arive to the bunk house late which was not a good start - They are assigned to their bunks but they are skeptical about them because there are lice killers in them. - The old man tries to re-assure them that the lice killers are there just in case.
The Stable Buck- We find out that is the only black person there - George and Lennie find out that because they were late, the stable buck gets hell for it - The guys in the bunk tell George and Lennie that he is extremely nice
Curley is Introduced- This is where we are first introduced to Curley as he complains about george and Lennie being late - He starts to Question Lennie about why he can not answer back to him - Curley thinks that George is taking Lennie's pay - The guys in the bunk believe that Curley is an angry person, the reason being that he is a small guy that is mad at big guys - We also find out he is married.
Curley's Wife- This is the first time we hear of and see Curley's wife - She is never given a name - She has "the eye" and she is very pretty - She is a huge flirt.
Slim- We get to hear a little more about him in this chapter, like we find out his actual name - We learn that he is the jerlkine skinner - And we learn that he has a dog that just gave birth to puppies
* We end this chapter with Curley looking for his wife and George is all frazzled because he does not like the fact that Curley was trying to give Lennie trouble.
